The bins have been removed, and there will be a new view beyond the Henderson water tower as the cleanup continues.

Since last week, it’s been amazing to watch how quickly the grain complex was demolished and how the machines smashed and piled the destroyed bins for removal. Next, the machines were busy pounding the concrete pads from the bins into chunks to be carried away. According to Superintendent Jeremy Klein, some of the flat concrete will be salvaged on the north side alongside the alley so that it may be used for parking soon. He expects the site’s demolition, clearing, and leveling to be completed by mid-March.

Another demolition project was in progress this week across from the hospital. Henderson Health Care Services owns this small house directly behind the school and was clearing it away on Thursday.

Here are the previous videos we posted of the bin demolition earlier this week.
