You can take the ?? marks out of the above graphic–it’s officially H & H for sports.
The Heartland School Board voted at a special meeting on Wednesday night to approve the proposed sports cooperative with Hampton Public Schools. The vote was 4-1-1.
Gloystein motioned to approve the contract, and Ryan Goertzen seconded it. The board then gave their final comments for about 30 minutes. Superintendent Klein spoke and apologized for how the project was communicated, making it cloudy for the public. Newton then took a final vote by roll call.
Voting for the cooperative were Lacey Gloystein, Ryan Goertzen, Tammy Ott, and Tyler Newton. Voting no was Jeb Mierau and abstaining was Jen Hiebner. Newton then closed the meeting.
There were about 40-50 people in attendance at the meeting held in the board room, with the overflow in the hallway outside.
The Hampton School Board unanimously approved the cooperative at their Monday regular school board meeting.
