Mainstay General Manager Jeremiah Duerksen presents information about their new product launch at their Tech Expo.
Mainstay Communications introduced its new product launch, making it more than an Internet, telephone, and cable provider. With the recent creation of their Mainstay Technology division, customers will see more changes and additions to their services.
They held a technology showcase event at the Hatchery on Thursday, unveiling an ambitious line of equipment for area businesses and residents. “We are excited to provide these new products to meet the ongoing and ever-changing technology needs of our community,” said Mainstay Director Jeremiah Duerksen.
The latest in security, surveillance, physical access control, and cyber security were on display. Business phone systems, smart cameras, remote-controlled window blinds, water alerts, and a host of residential and business smart system video and security alerting solutions were also on display.
He explained how these systems allow businesses and families to self-monitor with information about any motion, entry, water, and more through an app on their phones. The new cameras have the advanced ability to track moving vehicles and identify faces and animals.
Mainstay Technology Technician Matt Enns shared information about the ongoing cybersecurity threats and how they affect anyone with a computer. “Mainstay has created a whole office IT service package which will allow businesses and residents to be in a much stronger position to combat these cyber attacks.”
He emphasized that no one is immune to cyber-attacks and data security threats, but an active defense is necessary to stay protected.
Enns said preparing for 2025 AI (Artificial Intelligence) is part of Mainstay’s proactive approach. Mainstay will provide free on-site consultations and recommend the best products or services to meet each customer’s needs.
“We understand that each business is unique and one size doesn’t fit all, so we have options to meet individual needs and budgets. The products we’ve introduced work together and are easier to manage,” said Duerksen.
Duerksen said this is just the beginning of new services from Mainstay. “We plan on introducing new Internet packages in a few months and are working on a town Wi-Fi Service for our customers to access anywhere in the community,” said Duerksen.
