Heartland Huskies Compete at Hastings St. Cecilia VB Tournament

The Heartland Huskie volleyball team traveled to Hastings on Tuesday and Thursday for the Hastings St. Cecilia Tournament but returned without a win.

On Tuesday, they faced off against Superior, losing in two sets, 12-25 and 12-24. Lydia Jahnke led the team with three kills, Isabel Johnson had eight digs, and KatrinaMarie Epp had eight assists. They next played Wood River, and it was a much closer match, losing 16-25 and 27-29. Riley Quiriing led with five kills and Klein with three. Freshman Katy Farrall scored two aces. Isabel Johnson led the digging with 18, Klein 11, and KatrinaMarie Epp and Katy Farrall with six a piece.

Back in action on Thursday, the Huskies won a set (25-23) against Tri-County but lost the next two sets 13-25 and 18-25. Next, they faced off with the Cross County Cougars, who were 10-8, losing in two sets, 12-25 and 14-25.
