At the end of September, members of the Heartland FFA chapter had the opportunity to attend Careers in Ag Day in York, Nebraska. Careers in Ag Day gives these students a chance to explore different career paths in agriculture through presentations by people who are currently in the field.
Agriculture pathways that were represented were agronomy, commodity marketing/risk management, agriculture education, seed sales, veterinary/livestock management, trucking/welding, social media/entrepreneurship, ag sales/mechanics, and ag finance/farming. The keynote speaker for the day was Norm Krug, who shared his experiences with Preferred Popcorn with the group.
