All parents are invited to a special presentation in the Heartland Community School Theater on Monday, October 21. The presentation will be offered twice: 5:30-6:30 p.m. and again from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Molly Woodman from The Kim Foundation will lead “Encouraging Hope in Parents: A Presentation on Youth Mental Health.“ Woodman is the foundation’s outreach coordinator, and she will raise awareness and share resources about mental health and suicide prevention.
The session will address mental health awareness (risk factors, warning signs and what is normal), effects of social media on youth mental health, as well as strategies and resources to help those in need.
