Mia Hiebner continued her solid golf by winning at home on Thursday, shooting a 75 (38-37). Her score broke the Heartland school record by one stroke, previously held by Elizabeth Mestl in 2020, with a 76. Galaway Creek was buzzing with a shotgun start at 10 a.m., with 25 varsity players and 14 junior varsity players representing eight schools. The varsity played 18 holes, and the JVs played nine holes.
Heartland had three varsity golfers – Tara Buzek, Emersyn Oswald, and Mia Hiebner. JV golfer was Kinsley Friesen. Oswald placed 10th, carding a 105 (51-52), and Buzek was short of a placing in the top 15, scoring 111 (59-52).
