Heartland FFA at the York County Fair
This past summer, some of the Heartland FFA members participated in the York County Fair. Members of the FFA had an opportunity to put entries into many areas of competition, ranging from woodworking to welding to crops to showing animals.
Receiving Grand Champion were Blake Goertzen on welding medium item, welding small item, welding medium item, David Hiebner on wood small item, shelled corn, Landon Mierau on display board, Thane Wetjen on honey story, and Weston Panko on display board.
Receiving Reserve Champion were: Benjamin Janzen on welding extra small item, Blake Goertzen on shelled corn, Braden Janzen on display board, David Hiebner on wood large item, and Lane Farrall on display board.
Receiving purples were Andrew Onnen on a gas welding display board, Benjamin Janzen on welding extra small item, Blake Goertzen on grain sorghum, shelled corn, welding medium item, welding small item, Brayden Ogorzolka on welding display boards, David Hiebner on wood large item, wood small item, shelled corn, Emma Ott on wood medium item, Jace Friesen on welding small item, Landon Mierau on display boards, Lane Farrall on display board, Thane Wetjen on honey story and Weston Panko on display board.
Receiving blues were: Amanda Goertzen on wood medium item, Braden Janzen on display board, Brayden Ogorzolka on display board, Cash Parrish on display boards, Colby Frisbe on wood medium item, David Hiebner on wood medium item, Emma Ott on floral arrangement, Hayden Powers on wood medium item, Joshua Goertzen on display board, Kaleb Ostrander on display board, Kinsley Friesen on floral arrangement, Lane Farrall on display board, Mary Dente on floral arrangement, Trenton Goertzen on display board, Weston Panko on display board, and Mary Dente with Poultry.

Heartland FFA at the Nebraska State Fair
This past August members of the Heartland FFA Chapter had the opportunity to enter exhibits into the Nebraska State Fair. There were many categories that FFA members could enter exhibits in, ranging from Ag Mechanics to Livestock.
Receiving Grand Champion were David Hiebner in Production and Thane Wetjen in Apiculture.
Receiving Reserve Champion were Blake Goertzen in Crops, David Hiebner in Horticulture, and Emma Ott in Purebred Breeding Gilt.
Receiving Purples were Jacob Buller in Horticulture, Lane Farrall in Display Boards, Kinsley Friesen in Floral Arrangements, Blake Goertzen in Utility and Crops, David Hiebner in Horticulture, Braden Janzen in Display Boards, Landon Mierau in Display Boards, Emma Ott in Floral Arrangements and Crossbred Breeding Gilt, Weston Panko in Display Boards, and Thane Wetjen in Horticulture Special.
Receiving Blues were Mary Dente in Floral Arrangements and Eggs, Lane Farrall in Display Boards, Adrik Friesen in Crops, Jace Friesen in Horticulture, Blake Goertzen in Horticulture, David Hiebner in Crops, Braden Janzen in Display Boards, Madison Mason in Horticulture Special, and Carter Siebert in Horticulture Special.
Receiving Reds were Adrik Friesen in Crops.
