The Heartland Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes display their painted posters outside the school this week for Homecoming!
“A Legacy of Stars” is the theme for Heartland Community Schools 2024 Homecoming celebration this week. Here is the information for the elementary and junior/senior high dress-up days from the Heartland website.
Home sporting events include volleyball against Thayer-Central on Thursday, September 12, girls’ golf invite at Galaway Creek on Thursday, and football against Twin River on Friday night.
Heartland students up for royalty include Luis Alvarez, Jaelyn Brown, KatrinaMarie Epp, Creighton Friesen, Isabel Johnson, Jamisen Klein, Emersyn Oswald, Sam Quiriing, Carter Siebert, and Thane Wetjen. The coronation ceremony will take place after the football game on Friday night.
Along with the scheduled sporting events for the week, a homecoming parade will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Main Street. A community pep rally will follow the parade in the school theater.
