The Heartland Girls Golf Team traveled to Valley View Golf Course outside of Central City for an opening three-person scramble event. There were three divisions, and the Heartland team of Mia Hiebner, Tara Buzek, and Emersyn Oswald competed in Division One. They scored a 76 (38-38) but were one shot shy of third place in Division One.
Last year, the two-person team of Mia Hiebner and Tara Buzek shot a sizzling 63 (30-33) to win the competition. Grand Island Central Catholic got hot this year, carding a 70 (35-35) to win overall.
