Four Corners Press Release

The brain is an important part of your body! June is a good month to be thinking about your brain! It’s Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. It is also Migraine and Headache Awareness Month.

How do you take care of your brain? Often, we may not think about this until suddenly our head hurts, and we don’t know why. Did you know that there are things you can do to avoid a headache or migraine?

Here’s a list of some common things to keep in mind:

  • Sleep: Go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day.
  • Eat: Do not skip meals.
  • Stress: Find things to do that you enjoy to ease feelings of pressure or worry.
  • Exercise: Do this regularly.

Other causes of a headache could be head injuries, medication, certain smells, weather changes, or bright lights. More information can be found here: https://americanmigrainefoundation.org/resource-library/what-is-headache-hygiene/ Another possible cause of a headache could be a brain tumor.
