Heartland Community School News Release
F.K. Hopkins was a long-time employee of Bradshaw Public School, where he worked as a custodian and bus driver. He was known as “Hop” and always took a special interest in the students. He would take time out of his day to visit with them and make connections.
Each year, Heartland Community Schools selects an eighth grader to receive the F.K. Hopkins Award to honor his legacy. This student exhibits character, hard work, and leadership while in middle school.
Congratulations to Ashlyn Friesen for being selected this year!
