Storms are a part of life in Nebraska, so it’s always interesting to look back and remember the damage we had in the Henderson area in June 2014 from more than one storm that month.
The winds raged late Saturday night/early Sunday morning as a massive wall of storms hit the Henderson area. Residents woke up Sunday morning to find broken trees, leaves, and branches covering the ground. The downtown park was particularly hit hard as trees were broken in half, just missing the bronze sculpture at the park’s south end.
