On Wednesday, the Heartland Quiz Bowl teams traveled to Seward to participate in the final competition of the year. This tournament does not allow current seniors to participate. It’s a great chance to see how the team looks for the next school year.
“I’m proud to say that Heartland quiz bowl looks strong! Two teams competed and the B team competed well, but lost in the first round of the tournament,” said team sponsor Mrs. Ruhl.
The A team made up of Austin Schmidt, Adi Duerksen, Mia Hiebner and Tara Buzek came home as the champions of the small school division. They won the 22 team bracket in convincing fashion and finished the day with a 5-1 record!
