The Heartland Jr. Hight track teams traveled to Fillmore Central for the SNC Track Meet on Friday, May 2. The girls placed 9th overall and the boys in 8th place. Waylon Tessman was the only Huskie with a first-place finish in the pole vault with a 10-00 vault.
Another top finish for the girls was Katy Farrall, who placed second in the pole vault, going 7-00. Sophie Minary placed third in the shot put with a 28-00 throw and 3rd in the discus throwing 79-08.
For the boys, Adrik Friesen placed second in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 12:77, and fifth in the 200-meter dash, at 27.80. Brooks Burgess ran 2:19.62 in the 800-meter run, placing third. Brian Bearinger placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles, running 17.64.
