The York County Emergency Communications Center is reporting a “one-semi slide-off at mile marker 349 on Interstate 80,” as of 9:47 a.m.
Local emergency officials are asking everyone to “avoid traveling on the interstate as there are whiteout conditions at this time. Also, avoid Interstate 80 eastbound at that mile marker due to a multi-semi pile-up where lanes are currently blocked.”
The current photo (accompanying this story) shows the conditions at the York interchange as heavy snow is coming down. High winds are expected for later today.
