YORK – Alexander L. Gonzales, 31, of Henderson, has been charged with three counts of felony child abuse, sexual assault, and drug possession.
His arraignment was held this past week in York County District Court, where he pleaded not guilty to three Class 3A felonies (for the child abuse), a Class 3A felony (third-degree sexual assault), and a Class 4 felony (possession of a controlled substance).
According to court documents, the case began when a criminal investigator with the York County Sheriff’s Department met with the county attorney’s office and officials from Nebraska Health and Human Services regarding the accusations of sexual assault.
Following that investigation, Gonzales was arrested, and a search warrant was served. According to the affidavit, investigators allegedly found a very dirty residence as well as prescription drugs without a label.
No other details about the case can be published due to the graphic nature of the accusations.
