Due to the extreme cold and snow school was shut down for several days. With activities cancelled as well the Heartland girls and boys basketball teams hadn’t played a game for 16 days. Unfortunately for both teams, they could not get in but a few practices before playing this week, and it showed in their performances Monday night.
The Heartland girls and boys played Fillmore Central in Geneva and lost badly. The final score for the girls was 27-47. The boys took a thrashing from a very talented 13-1 Panther team, losing 26-69.
