Henderson’s Main Street is deserted today with most businesses closed due to blizzard conditions and travel warnings.
It’s very dangerous outside today and here are some warnings and closures shared by the Henderson Police Department:
Good morning folks, we are waking up to quite a winter wonderland this morning. Please do not travel, our city crew is out and clearing snow. Most of the east/west roads are drifting in places. The spur is dicey as well. Please be safe as conditions remain the same till the winds die down. Thanks.
A message from our Post Master…..Truck not in yet. Not sure when we will get there. No Rural delivery for Henderson or Bradshaw today.
The York County Sheriff’s Department shared this: TRAVEL IS NOT ADVISED ANYWHERE IN YORK COUNTY (1/12/2024). NDOR and the York County Roads Department are working hard to clear the roadways but they are unable keep up with the blowing snow. Visibility is close to 0 in most spots. Most roads have spots in them that are completely impassable due to blowing and drifting snow. Please stay home and do not take a chance on the roadways today.
BRADSHAW: As of now the village office will be closed today. If that changes this afternoon I will update you all. Mitchell is out moving snow so please be patient and stay out of his way while he battles this wind! Thank you all!
