YORK COUNTY — On Sunday, October 1, at approximately 1:24 a.m., a sergeant with the York County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near the area of Road 3 and Road B in rural York County. The vehicle stopped briefly and then drove away at a high rate of speed.
York County Sheriff’s Office deputies pursued the vehicle through the City of Henderson into rural Hamilton County and then on Interstate 80. Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office were able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device, and the vehicle ultimately came to a stop on Road B and Road 12 in York County. The driver and passenger were then taken into custody without further incident.
The driver, Gino Main, 31, of Henderson, was arrested on the following charges: flight to avoid arrest, fourth offense; possession of a controlled substance; driving under the influence of drugs, first offense; refusal to submit to a chemical test; willful reckless driving, first offense.
The passenger, Chelsea Beck, 34, of Lincoln, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Both individuals were lodged at York County Corrections.
