PRESS RELEASE
A staple golf tournament in the Henderson community has culminated with yet another record-setting day.
The 14th Annual Henderson Health Care Foundation Golf Tournament, held August 11th at Galaway Creek Golf Course in Henderson, was once again a huge success! The 4-person scramble saw 23 teams participate, raising over $14,000 in proceeds toward the fundraising campaign for HHC’s current Hospital/Surgery Expansion & Renovation Project.
Year 14 found Tanner Steingard’s team taking home first place overall with a 14 under par, 54. Brad Friesen’s team finished in second place, and Dr. Ohrt’s team in third. Brad Friesen walked away with an extra $500 after winning the Golf Raffle, and Angie Allgood won an Odyssey putter after parking a 50-foot putt within 12 inches.
HHC Foundation Executive Director Carli Reiners expressed her appreciation for the tournament’s success. “On behalf of the Board, I would like to extend a special thank you to all the sponsors, donors, volunteers, and players for making this event possible year after year. I would also like to offer my heartfelt appreciation to Luke Fochtman. We truly value his assistance and experience! It was very encouraging to see new sponsorships and teams championing our cause! I continue to be inspired by the response from our communities as they consider the future of Henderson Health Care Services and the role they play in supporting our mission. There is significance in what is happening here–as far as I’m concerned, when you receive care at HHCS you’ve hit a hole-in-one.”
The 15th Annual Henderson Health Care Foundation Golf Tournament will take place in August of 2024.
