The Heartland track team traveled to Sutton for their invite on Thursday, May 4, and came home with some improved times, jumps, and throws.
First place finish went to the boys’ 4 x 100 relay team with a time of 3:39.02 which was their best of the season. The boys dominated in the 800 M run, placing fourth (Zach Quiring), fifth (William Nielsen), and sixth (Trev Peters).
Allie Boehr won the gold in the shot put with a throw of 35-01.50. Mariah Tessman went 10-00.00 winning the silver in the pole vault just behind Sadie Rempel of Superior who won it at 10-10.00.
The girls’ team placed fourth overall, and the boys came in second behind Milford. Six teams were competing at the invite.
