The Huskies had two basketball games this week, one at home and one at Fillmore Central (Geneva).
They played against Superior at home on Tuesday. The Varsity Girls lost their game against the Wildcats 24-52. The Varsity boys won their game after an exciting match up with a score of 71-65.
On Thursday, the teams traveled to Geneva to play Fillmore Central. Unfortunately the girls would lose that game to a similar score of 25-54 in favor of the Panthers. The boys won their game in another close match with a final score of 57-51.
During the Superior games, the Junior Varsity girls lost a close game with a score of 29-33 and the boys won 47-40.
At Fillmore Central, the girls Junior Varsity lost 20-32 and the boys also lost 22-42.
Due to snow and ice school was closed on Friday which led to the cancellation of the schedule basketball games that evening against East Butler. The Robotics competition in O’Neill on Saturday was also postponed to a later date.
