With Community Days quickly approaching, there are a few events that advanced registration is recommended for in order to participate.

The Henderson Community Days 5K and Kids 1K will take place Saturday morning with pre-registrations (for registration discount and t-shirt) due July 6. You can register at www.HendersonNE.com/cdays by using the online registration through Get Me Registered or printing the form and turning it into the Chamber office. You can also request an email form by emailing hendersoncdc@gmail.com. Registration will be accepted after July 6, as well as the day of the event, however it will cost more to participate and a t-shirt will not be guaranteed. The 5K run begins at 7:15 a.m. and the 1K begins at 8:15 a.m. Runners should plan to check-in no later than 30 minutes prior to the race start at the downtown park on 14th Street.

The 2nd Annual Co-Ed Softball Tournament will take place on Saturday, starting at 3 p.m. This single elimination tournament for teams of 10 or more costs $10 per person on the team. This tournament is sponsored by 104.9 MAX COUNTRY, KOOL 103.5 and KVK Jewelry Design. Teams may register through the event on Facebook by Friday, July 6th in order to set the brackets, but registration may close sooner if the maximum number of teams is reached. A direct link to the event can be found at www.hendersonne.com/cdays or by searching 2nd Annual Henderson Community Days Co-Ed Softball Tournament on Facebook. Contact Lance Hiebner for more details.

The Heartland NHS will be hosting a blood drive on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., in the Heartland Circle Drive. To make an appointment call the Nebraska Community Blood Bank at 402-486-9414 or Heidi at 303-204-4604. Your blood donation will help raise scholarship funds for Heartland Community School Students.

The Main Street Parade, happening at 10 a.m. Saturday, is FREE to participate in and all floats, cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, bicycles or walking entries are welcome. Advance registration is helpful through the Chamber office and will get you a spot at the front of the parade, but registration the day of the event is also accepted during check-in at 9:30 a.m. at Kurt Goertzen seed building west of the golf course.

You can find registration forms for all of these events and more at www.HendersonNE.com/cdays or by calling or emailing the Chamber office:  402-723-4228/hchamber@mainstaycomm.net as we get ready to dive into fun at Henderson Community Days July 13-15.
