Celebrate the Spirit of Christmas on Thursday, November 30, from 5:00-7:30 p.m. on Main Street and around Henderson as various businesses roll out the red carpet for holiday shopping and open houses. Santa and Mrs. Clause will also be making an appearance that evening.
During the evening, there will be many local retailers selling products that will be perfect for your holiday gift giving. Not only will you be able to find gifts for the youngest and oldest people on your list, but you will also be saving money by not driving out of town to do your Christmas shopping. Various businesses will also be hosting open houses throughout the community during the Spirit of Christmas to show gratitude for your business over the past year.

In addition to the retail vendors, the Henderson Fire Barn will turn into the North Pole for the evening. This is where all the action will be for kids starting with a Book Walk sponsored by the Heartland Preschool Parents Advisory Committee. Games and activities for kids of all ages will also be sponsored by the Henderson Fire & Rescue Department and Henderson Child Development Center. The North Pole wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa who will be present for pictures and to talk to children from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Santa and his small gift for each child is sponsored by Cornerstone Bank and Henderson Health Care Services. Â
