Heartland students had a special visitor at an elementary assembly on Monday. Miss Nebraska 2016, Aleah Peters, provided entertainment and delivered a message to the students.
As a former baton twirler for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, she demonstrated her skills by twirling three batons at a time. Her message was about making kindness viral–especially stopping cyber bullying.
Aleah is the granddaughter of Levi and Leanna Peters. Her father, Jerry Peters, is an alumnus of Henderson Community School.
