A quilting class is being planned for Saturday, July 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 24, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Henderson. The class is called “Serendipity I & II” and is being taught by Darice Cecil, sister to Dot Quiring of Henderson. Participants will utilize a simple technique when making the blocks for “Serendipity I”, and along the way, the blocks for “Serendipity II” will be made at the same time. This class would be great for mother-daughter, sisters, or friends to take together to make coordinating quilts.

The class will take place in the Family Center at the MB Church. A lunch (gluten-free) will be provided on Saturday, as well as snacks on both days. There is a cost for the class, which includes the pattern for the quilt. A free-will donation will be taken to help with the cost of food. Anyone interested can pick up a registration form from Dot Quiring or from the MB Church office. Questions can be directed to Dot Quiring at 402-723-5318 or dotq@mainstaycomm.net.
