Although the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Event will not be taking place in the town of Henderson, everyone can make contributions to this worthy cause!
A group of individuals with hearts for the cancer cure cause make up the Henderson Team and will be canvassing Henderson for contributions until the week of the event.Â
Members of the local team include: Kathryn Goertzen (723-4931), The Casper Family – Barb and daughters (723-4904), and Sharon Chvatal (723-4529). Each of these members will be assigned a section of the town or rural area to solicit donations. Each of these dedicated team members has been touched by cancer in a significant way – either being a survivor themselves or having been a caregiver to someone who has had cancer. Additional team members are welcome and anyone interested in joining the effort should contact a team member for more information.
The York County Relay will be taking place at the York County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 11, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. For more information contact any team member or visit www.relayforlife.org/yorkne.
