It was an exciting night in the Heartland gym on Friday as the Huskie boys faced Sandy Creek once again. After a slow initial start, the Huskies gained momentum and even passed up the Cougars before halftime. The second half was almost a repeat of the first. It ended with a tied game sending the teams into overtime. In overtime, Heartland was only able to put up 11 points to Sandy Creek’s 15. The game ended with a score of 72-76.
Tomorrow Heartland will play at Fillmore Central in subdistricts. They enter with a 13-10 season record. The team will face Deshler at 7:30 p.m. (See bracket below)
