Instead of the Holiday Tournament that Heartland usually hosts, this year the teams played in the Nebraska Wesleyan University Holiday Tournament where they were able to face some different competition.
For the first round, both the boys and the girls played Cambridge. The teams were victorious over the Trojans advancing to the second round. In their next games, both teams played Humphrey St. Francis where they both fell short to the Flyers. After the tournament, the girls hold a 6-3 record and the boys are 6-2.
On Tuesday, January 5, Heartland will host Centennial with the girls playing at 6:15 p.m. and the boys at 8:00 p.m.
