A combination of artistic abilities and ambitious dreams for the future paid off for a local elementary student. Heartland third grader Tucker Robinson won a $1,000 scholarship in the NEST Draw Your Dreams scholarship contest.
Students from kindergarten through 8th grade submitted pictures in the contest of what they dream of being someday. A total of 120 entries were submitted. Twelve winners were selected by the Nebraska Art Teachers Association. Each winner then had $1,000 deposited into a NEST 529 College Savings Plan scholarship account.
Congratulations to this Heartland student who is on his way to becoming a paleontologist!
