Fans and visitors alike are invited to attend the Husker Tailgate Party in the Henderson Downtown Park at 2:00 p.m. on September 19. Attendees will get to see the Nebraska vs. Miami game live on the big screen in the band shelter in addition to family games, concessions, vendors, and prizes. The event is designed to showcase the fun, friendly atmosphere of a Husker game day locally.
Henderson Chamber Director, Kelsey Bergen commented: “We are very excited about this event. We have such a beautiful town and park, and we don’t use it nearly enough. With this event we hope to create a reason for people of all generations to gather in a positive atmosphere. Whether you are a die-hard husker fan or are excited for an inexpensive social gathering, we want to see you there.â€Â
Entrance to this event is free, with concessions including hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, candy, and beverages, available for a small price. There will be free kids and family games and the Henderson Fire & Rescue department will be bringing out some trucks at half time.Â
