Henderson is the place to be on Saturday, September 19, with two great community events happening during the day. Start of the day at Heritage Park at 9:00 a.m. for Heritage Day. There will be a variety of food, demonstrations, displays, and activities for the entire family.
Then head to the Henderson Downtown Park at 2:00 p.m. for the Husker Tailgate Party as Nebraska takes on Miami in the first away game of the season. We will have everything you need for the perfect tailgate experience including the game on a big screen, concessions, vendors, games for the family, prizes, and much more. During halftime, the Henderson Fire & Rescue Department will have several trucks in the Downtown Park for children and parents to check out and learn about why the fire and rescue department is important for our community.
Plan to spend Saturday, September 19, in Henderson with Heritage Day and the Husker Tailgate; we have something for everyone. Vendor applications are still be accepted for individuals want to sell/promote products and services during this event.
