Kaitlyn Quiring, a 2015 graduate of Heartland Community Schools, has been chosen to be part of the Nebraska Cornhusker Marching Band for this marching season. Kaitlyn is a freshman at UNL and was chosen by a two tier audition process to play trumpet in the Cornhusker Band. Heartland graduate and UNL Junior Aaron Jensen is also part of the Cornhusker Band playing in the trombone rank. The band will march at all home games, travel to one away Big 10 game, and travel to a Bowl Game if the football team is invited to a bowl. There will be a free marching exhibition for the public Friday, August 21, at 7:00. Enter the stadium through Gate 3 and Gate 11.
