The York County Relay for Life event is fast approaching on Saturday, June 13, at the York County fairgrounds in York. A local team – TeamHenderson – is doing their best to raise money to help the American Cancer Society raise awareness, find cures and improve treatment of the disease.
A personal campaign for funds will be done in Henderson. Monetary donations of any amount are welcome! At the relay event white luminaries will encircle the track. A donation of $10 may be made to sponsor a luminary in memory of a loved one who has lost their battle to cancer or in honor of a cancer survivor. Local team members are: Barb, Olivia and Tierney Casper, Sharon Chvatal, Kathryn Goertzen, and Melissa Goertzen. Â These team members may be soliciting funds through the mail, door-to-door or by phone call.
