Last week was monumental for the Heartland Huskies as they competed in the D1 State Basketball Tournament. The team faced the Bloomfield Bees in the first round where the Huskies were victorious 65-46, advancing to the semifinals for the first time in 29 years. On Friday they faced High Plains at the Sports Center. Unfortunately it was another loss to the High Plains team who the Huskies had played earlier in regular season. The Storm won with a 55-47 score. For the third place game, Heartland faced Bruning-Davenport/Shickley coming up short the with same 47-55 score of their game the day before.
Congratulations to the team on a great season and making it to the 2015 Boys State Basketball Tournament!
