Celebrate the Spirit of Christmas on Tuesday, December 2, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Main Street and around Henderson as various businesses roll out the red carpet for holiday shopping and open houses.
This year there are several activities for kids you don’t want to miss. Santa and Mrs. Clause will be making an appearance at City Hall from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. and will have a special goodie bag and ornament for all of the children courtesy of Cornerstone Bank and Custom Wood Products. A new activity for kids this year is cookie decorating by Henderson Health Care in the front of the old Metz Mortuary building. Henderson Health Care will provide the cookies and toppings, your kids just need to bring the artistic touch. Finally there will be a special appearance by Princess Belle at Kretz Chiropractic during the evening, so stop by and say hi to her.
Another new activity available this year is having your family or kids pictures taken for Christmas and New Year cards. Abbie Friesen, owner of Simpatico by Design, will have a studio setup for photography and offer you special packages on prints, Christmas cards, and digital downloads for pictures taken that evening.
Don’t forget the local retailers selling products that will be perfect for your holiday gift giving and businesses hosting open houses to recognize your support throughout the year. Businesses that will be open include:
