There were over 80 runners registered for this year’s HHCS Junior Auxiliary 5K/10K Jaunt held in conjunction with Henderson’s Community Days celebration weekend. In addition to local runners, there were participants from surrounding communities in Nebraska as well as places as far away as Boulder, CO. and Savannah, GA.
This year, in addition to being a competition of physical fitness, there was an added element of encouraging runners to participate in the holiday spirit of “Christmas in July†in conjunction with the theme for Henderson’s Community Days celebration over the weekend. There were numerous santa hats, a stroller pushing Mrs. Santa, and a tutu wearing dad (also pushing a stroller).
The Junior Auxiliary appreciates everyone’s participation and the opportunity to raise money for special projects at the local health care facility.
