The 2014 Henderson Health Care Health Fair began January 27 and will run until February 1. It takes place from 7:00-8:30 a.m. at both the Henderson and Sutton clinics.
The tests available include a chemistry profile for $30; a prostate specific antigen test for $20; and a thyroid stimulating hormone test for $20.
Blood tests show whether the levels of different substances in your blood fall within a normal range. For many tests, normal ranges are different depending on your age, gender, race, and other factors. Â Your diet, menstrual cycle, how much physical actitvity you do, the amount of alcohol you drink, and the medications you take can cause abnormal levels.
The HHC Health Fair is a great way to have hundreds of dollars worth of lab tests performed at low rates.
You should be fasting prior to your blood draw–nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before. You are, however, encouraged to drink plenty of water.
No charges will be submitted to insurance. You must pay for the blood draw at the time of service.
