Known to many as former teacher “Mr. Gloystein,” Lynn Gloystein will be honored at this year’s York-Hamilton County Cattlemen’s Banquet.
Gloystein served as the agriculture teacher at Henderson/Heartland Community Schools for 35 years. He originally came to Henderson after being hired at the school as a co-teacher with Ruben Epp. Gloystein had just graduated from UNL with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education and Agriculture Economics.
While teaching, he was also able to complete his master’s degree in Agriculture Education. Gloystein was actively involved with students as the FFA sponsor. After a great career of instilling an appreciation for agriculture in his students, he retired in 2008 from teaching.
He will be honored for his contributions at the Cattlemen’s Banquet on Tuesday, January 7, at the Stone Creek Event Center.
