In the busyness of day-to-day life, it is hard to stop and appreciate what has been accomplished over the past year. However, it is very important to appreciate the past in order to plan for the future.  This is why the Henderson Chamber of Commerce is inviting everyone to the Celebrate Henderson Banquet on Monday, January 27, beginning at  6:30 p.m. at the Mennonite Brethren Church.

What a better way to kickoff the year than to have a banquet where residents of Henderson can come together with no better reason than to celebrate.  It is easy to look at what Henderson could be doing or what we don’t have in our community, but if you stop and think about it,  Henderson has a lot to offer and we have good reason to celebrate.

In addition to recognizing accomplishments of last year (2013), several awards will be presented during this banquet, including the Friend of Henderson Award and Milestone Awards.

Any business that reached a milestone last year in 2013 can be recognized at the banquet if they contact the Chamber Office prior to the event.  Businesses do not need to be Chamber members in order to be recognized, but they do need to serve the Henderson area.  Milestone awards will be presented in five year increments.

Those attending the banquet will also have the privilege to listen to Johnny Schrunk, from Next Move Marketing, as he motivates us to be the best we can be in 2014. This speaker is made possible through a JOBS Grant through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka in addition to our banquet sponsors, Cornerstone Bank.

Tickets to this event are $15 per person or $110 for a sponsored table for eight of their guests.  Please contact the Chamber Office at 723-4228 or hchamber@mainstaycomm.net to purchase your ticket for this community event before January 22 so you don’t miss the celebration on Monday, January 27, at the Mennonite Brethren Church beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization working towards community improvement through business promotion.
