This weekend, the 5th grade girls basketball team took home 3rd place in the silver bracket at the York Mid-States Meltdown. The girls beat Aurora 18-5 and lost to No Limits 18-12 on Saturday. The girls then won Sunday against Columbus 20-18 to take 3rd place. The team has been working very hard and did well against some very good teams. We have one more tournament two weeks from now in Aurora.
We would like to thank Heartland Community Schools for being a tournament host site on Saturday. It was so nice to be able to play our first two games in our own gym in front of a great crowd. The team, parents, and supporters sincerely appreciate this opportunity the school gave us to play at home!
