jordanWhile you probably saw him throwing passes and making plays out on the football field, Jordan Heinrichs has also been hard at work in school.

Selected as the Heartland Beat Student of the Month, Heinrichs, a junior at Heartland, spent the fall leading the Heartland Football Team through a great 7-2 season while also maintaining a 3.8 GPA.

This fall, Heinrichs threw for 620 yards and rushed for 869 yards. “There was a big change in the maturity of the players this year,” says Jordan. Although he has played quarterback since he was a freshman, he said that this year his position just seemed easier and he was better able to spot the receivers. Because of this improved athletic ability on the team, it also gave the Huskies a competitive attitude.

In school, Heinrichs enjoys History and P.E. Besides playing football, he participates in basketball, track, FFA, and National Honor Society. In the summer, he also plays on a league baseball team.

In fact, baseball is Heinrichs’ favorite sport to play. Due to his versatility in the sport, he enjoys filling many different positions. Jordan’s sights are set on playing baseball in college.

Congratulations to Jordan for being selected as the Heartland Beat Student of the Month and on his many accomplishments both on and off the field.
