Henderson residents may have noticed the data speed of their mobile devices, such as the Google Pixel 6, on the Verizon Wireless Network suddenly increased after Verizon upgraded the area to a 4G LTE network earlier this week.
This means that people using Verizon’s data to surf, stream, play games, and upload/download now have a much faster speed available.
In fact, the upgrade from 3G to 4G can offer speeds as much as 10 times as fast. Many cities and other areas have been enjoying the quickness of 4G for awhile, but Verizon said all of York County is guaranteed to have 4G LTE by the end of the year, although some area communities such as Henderson have already witnessed the upgrade.
You can check at the top of your smartphone to see the new 4G LTE symbol. If you do not see it, you may have to restart your phone first, or you could be in an area of York County that is still waiting on the upgrade. Another problem could be that your device is not 4G capable.
