new sign

So much news there is barely time to report it in a timely fashion. First came the new sign at the entry to the course. It is brand new, freshly painted, and set up so that it lays out like the course looks from that vantage point. It’s a great way to greet our golfers.

In addition, during the week preceding Community Days, numerous volunteers worked as a group and individually to spruce up the course. They removed dead trees, low hanging branches, and unsightly weeds among other clean up jobs. Fresh paint and new towels also greeted the participants in the annual Community Days Tournament held on July 14.

Twenty-one two person teams participated this year. The results follow.

We continue to have young people come out to golf and hit range balls. It is encouraging to see the younger generation developing a passion for the game. They will be our tournament participants of the future.
