The annual York County Relay for Life event that benefits the Amercian Cancer Society is scheduled for June 1. The event is a time to celebrate the lives of those who are survivors and to remember those who have lost their battle with cancer.
During the next three months, the local Team Henderson will be canvassing the community to gather donations for this cause. Donations of all sizes are welcome and can be made in honor of a survivor or in memory of a loved one.
The Henderson team has been very successful in their fundraising efforts over the past decade. This is a result of both dedicated volunteers and the generosity of the community.
This year there are several spots on our team that need to be filled as some people who have have been on the team for a number of years have decided to no longer participate.
