The Heartland Huskie Yearbook was recently honored by the Walsworth Publishing Company for excellence in yearbook design and production.  The 2011 and 2012 Huskie yearbook will be placed in the Walsworth Gallery of Excellence.  This is a premier collection of the company’s top yearbooks.

Only a small percentage of yearbooks throughout the United States enter the Gallery each year.  The yearbooks in this collection demonstrate the best of yearbook components:  theme, coverage, design and photography.

These yearbooks are then shown to potential customers as examples, loaned to schools to use to generate ideas, displayed at state and national conventions and workshops, and used as examples in Walsworth’s educational resource materials.

This award recognizes a staff’s dedication to excellence, creating a consistently high-quality production.

This year’s yearbook staff is extremely dedicated as there are only three students in the class.  They are Joyce de Paauw (a foreign exchange student from the Netherlands), Jordan Bittinger, and Ashley Bittinger.  They have been working on the 2012 yearbook entitled “Plugged In.”  Yearbook sponsors are Mrs. Julie Goertzen and Ms. Britany Renz.
