Heartland FFA Members Attend Nebraska State FFA Convention [PHOTOS]

The Heartland FFA chapter recently visited Lincoln for the annual State FFA Convention.  Some highlights of State Convention were state contests, state FFA choir, leadership workshops, keynote speakers, general sessions and the State Degree Ceremony.

The Nebraska State FFA Degree is the highest honor the Nebraska FFA Association can bestow upon its members.  Receiving the Nebraska State FFA Degree from the Heartland FFA Chapter were Rick Siebert, Brenan Erb, Brielle van den Berg, Andrew Spader, Miranda Janzen, Micheal Brune, Morgan Tracy, Abigail Bechtel, Casey Goertzen and Cort Regier.

As a chapter, Heartland received a Gold rating in the National Chapter Award program and also received a certificate for being one of the top fundraising chapters in the State for the “I believe in the Future of Ag Campaign.”

Additionally, seven FFA members were selected to sing in the State FFA Choir.  Those members were: Abigail Bechtel, Morgan Tracy, Emily Ott, Brenan Erb, Daniel Quiring, Aaron Jensen and Coby Steingard.

Heartland FFA Members also participated in the State Leadership Skills Events.

Receiving a Silver Medal was Rick Siebert in Job Interview. Miranda Janzen was awarded a Bronze Medal in Senior Public Speaking. Also participating in the State Leadership Skills Events and receiving a Bronze Plaque was the Ag Demonstration Team. Team members were Morgan Tracy, Steph Stamp, Brent Regier and Aaron Jensen.
