Henderson Health Care Services will be hosting a Health Fair everyday from February 20-25 at the Henderson Clinic and Sutton Family Practice, with the Saturday Health Fair only taking place in Henderson. Blood draws will begin at 7 a.m. and last until 8:30 a.m. each day.
Tests available at this Health Fair include: Chemistry Profile; Prostate Specific Antigen; Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Test. All tests must be paid for at the time of service.
These tests can provide early detection for numerous health problems such as anemia and other blood disorders, elevated blood sugars, hypercholesterolemia, thyroid problems and electrolyte abnormalities.
Many insurance companies do not cover laboratory screenings and this is a great opportunity to save money on screenings. Everyone is highly encouraged to participate, since this will be the only Health Fair sponsored by Henderson Health Care Services this year.
Blood draws take place in the morning since participants should not eat or drink (except water) after midnight prior to having blood drawn. It is important to continue to drink water while fasting from other foods, so it is easier to perform the blood draw.
