The Heartland Community Schools Art Club held their first meeting in September. The Art Club has 26 members this year, nearly double what they had last year! Â Their first fundraiser was at a home football game against Deshler. They sold glow sticks. Â The Art Club also had a cake raffle at the homecoming football game against Newman Grove. Â Every year for homecoming Art Club has a poster contest, to encourage team spirit. Â Ninth through Twelfth grade make one poster per class and each of the elementary students make one of their own posters. Â The winners of the Elementary are as follows :
Kindergarten- Mariah Tessman
First Grade- Coleson Quiring
Second Grade- Carson Ott
Third Grade- Josie McCormick
Fourth Grade- Odessa Ohrt
Fifth Grade- Jade Hiebner
Sixth Grade- Bailey Peters
The winners of the high school poster contest were the Juniors. Â Second place was the Seniors, third place was the Sophomores, and in fourth place were the Freshman.
Art Club is off to a good start and will be doing fun activities throughout the year.
